Identity Theft is a band that performs at quite a few weddings, but it would feel strange to call them a wedding band. What comes to mind when you hear the term “wedding band”? For them, it’s corny matching outfits, groan-inducing jokes, and unholy “traditions” with cute little names like “The Chicken Dance” and “Macarena”.

If we’re going by stereotypes, Identity Theft would fail conclusively as a wedding band. So why have they become one of the most in-demand entertainment acts in North Texas after only existing for a year? Because Identity Theft knows the difference between cool and lame. Comprised of five “kids” (all of average marrying age), they have a good idea of what appeals to their generation, and they have perfected a show that makes the guests WANT to stay, and unable to stop dancing. Every couple wants the same thing for their wedding reception, and it’s never for it be a litany of traditional events while guests stand around and clap politely. Sadly, there was a period this summer where our contact form was not working properly for an extended period of time. For those of you who tried to reach us through the form and received no reply, we are truly sorry. The issue was resolved as soon as we became aware of it, and we promise we were not ignoring you! The form is now working, but as always, you are free to contact and/or harass the band via email, Facebook, Twitter, at shows, or as you randomly see our limo cruising through the streets of Dallas.

Identity Theft and 5,000-10,000 of our closest friends will be partying it up tonight at American Airlines Center as the Dallas Vigilantes take on the Tulsa Talons. Identity Theft will be melting popsicles for the half-time show and playing throughout the game! Kick-off is at 7:30pm.
