A wedding reception is the party that you’ll remember for the rest of your life, and nothing compares to the excitement and energy of a live band. A band offers visual appeal, crowd interaction, and flexibility to read the crowd to keep the party going. Identity Theft is designed to make these parties a success, and we go to work well before your wedding date and assist with full reception planning!

This includes:

• Face-to-Face Consultation – with the bride and groom (and sometimes the whole band!) so that we can get to know you and determine exactly how you’d like your reception to flow. This meeting includes choosing special music for event dances, mapping out an itinerary, and coordinating announcements.

• Announcements and Emceeing – Wedding receptions need to flow, and it doesn’t need to fall on the bride’s shoulders to make sure that happens! We will announce the bride and groom during their grand entrance, as well as event dances, dinner, cake cutting, toasts, and other events during the reception.

• DJing and Break Music – Identity Theft comes with complimentary DJ services. That means there will always be appropriate music playing, whether it be softer music during dinner or dance music while the band is on break. There is no charge for this service.

• Wireless Microphone for toasts and announcements

Identity Theft DOES have a softer side! We realize that weddings will have multiple generations gathered in one room, and we are committed to making sure EVERYONE has a good time. We usually begin each wedding with “safe” songs like Superstition or Love Train as well as slower tunes such as Let’s Get It On or At Last.

Identity Theft offers FULL-SERVICE music coordinating for your entire wedding.

While Identity Theft’s standard act is perfect for receptions, we can produce music for every portion of your wedding. Not only is Identity Theft comprised of very versatile musicians who are well-versed in jazz, classical, and celtic music, we’re also networked with the top musicians in the metroplex and can provide the perfect ensemble for every occasion, including:

• Cocktail Hour
• Dinner Music
• Ceremony Music

Options include a jazz quartet, solo jazz piano, guitar and violin duet, and other classic combinations of horns and strings. We can also provide a small sound system for your ceremony or cocktail room and DJ appropriate music.

*Weddings are often booked 6 months to a year in advance. Saturdays in March through May book especially fast. We encourage all of our prospective wedding clients to book as early as possible.
